Welcome to Mayetta Farms, an urban micro-farm located in Boston, Massachusetts.
We are best known for our honey & beeswax products. From our small apiary, we harvest raw wildflower honey, which we sell locally. The beeswax (and honey) are also used to make soap, lip balm, lotion bars, salves and balms, which we also sell. Our handmade soaps are colored with natural plant or clay-based colorants, and while some are made with fragrance oils, we also offer soaps that are scented with essential oils, and even bars that are unscented altogether.
As available, we also keep a running egg list, for locals who want to buy chicken or duck eggs. Our chickens and ducks are fed organic feed from Vermont and free range our backyard during the day. They all have names and are well-loved by us, and also by locals who occasionally stop by to visit them while picking up eggs.
Historically, we have also offered fresh veggies & shiitake mushrooms to customers, which we hope to do again at some point, but that has taken a backseat of late.
If you are interested in placing an order, feel free to reach out to us at mayettafarms@gmail.com and see what we have in stock. Being a micro-farm, we are very small scale and supplies are always limited.
If you would like to watch your honey being harvested, or to follow the lives of our bees, chickens & ducks more closely, give us a follow on Instagram and/or Facebook. We post a video each year, showing every step of the harvest from hive to jar, so you can know exactly where your honey came from, and that you are receiving real, raw and unadulterated wildflower honey.
Thank you for reading. We hope to hear from you – or better yet, to meet you in person at a market! Until then, bee well. π
Best,
Mayetta Farms
